Pixel pitch refers to the distance in millimeters between the centers of two adjacent pixels. A smaller pixel pitch means more pixels in a given area, which results in a sharper and higher-resolution image. Pixel pitch directly affects the optimal viewing distance to see a clear image. A good rule of thumb is for every 1mm of pixel pitch, add 1m of viewing distance (i.e. 3mm pixel pitch requires 3m of viewing distance). Pixel pitch also impacts pricing - generally smaller pixel pitch panels cost more. Be sure to speak to your Lumenous Edge rep to help ensure you are spec'ing the right product so you don't overpay for any unnecessary LED pixel pitch cabinets.
The biggest determining factor that will help guide your decision is determining how far away your farthest viewer will be from the screen. A general rule of thumb for screen sizing based on distance is: 1) 50-100 people at 30-50', 12'Wx7'T, 2) 100-300 people at 50-100', 17'W x 10'T and 3) 300-1,000 people at 100-200', 23'W x 13'T.
In addition, another important consideration that should be factored into your screen size decision is based on the type of content you are looking to display. If you are text-based, be sure to factor in 1/5 the viewing distance and if you are displaying video or graphics be sure to factor in 1/6 the viewing distance minimum. i.e., if your audience is 100' away ad you are displaying video, your screen height should be 16-20' tall.
What separates Lumenous Edge from many of our competitors is ensuring we have a tech on standby throughout the duration of your event. It is always a possibility when dealing with technology that equipment can malfunction. If that does happen, our technicians will be on-site to tech and troubleshoot in real-time to minimize any negative exposure or screen downtime.

In order to determine if your screen is within the 16:9 ratio, you need to first start by identifying your screen width and screen height. Once you have identified these, take your panel count width divided by your panel count height (assumes 1:1 ratio). If the panels are not a true square you will need to factor in the overall width and height of the screen for your calculation. In either scenario, if this ratio is in between 1.65 and 1.85, your screen is considered within the 16:9 ratio.
All of our outdoor panels are rated to display content in direct sunlight in the brightest part of the day. Our screens all are capable of outputting 6,500 NITS, which is more than sufficient to ensure that no matter what time of day it is, you can trust the quality of the image to your attendees.
Yes, our inventory ranges from 1.5mm-10mm options with a 1.9mm, 3.9mm and 10mm panel type. We have fine pitch solutions for your indoor needs and panels that can withstand direct sunlight on the brightest of days.
